How does it connect to my phone system? -
The RealPresence is an IP Conference phone which connects to power via PoE. A power adapter is available for purchase if you don't have access to Power over Ethernet. You need a fully VOIP phone system (or access to a SIP line) for it to work for land line calls and video conferencing*. If you have an IT guy or gal they will be able to install with the zero-touch provisioning if not, ask us about a technician. Connection to a mobile or network enabled tablet is as easy as pairing to a Bluetooth headset. If your device has NFC, just touch it to the conference phone. The phone can also be plugged into a USB to connect to a PC or use your company’s WiFi or Gigabit Ethernet network connectivity.

There are so many features but what it all boils down to is the best quality call you can get; The Enhanced HD voice quality sound allows you to hear the intonation and nuances in voices so you can be confident you hear what they’re feeling as well as what they’re saying. Polycom’s exclusive NoiseBlock magically eliminates distracting background noise such as passing sirens, rustling papers and clacking keyboards. The mute buttons on every arm of the phone ensure anyone can mute a call and the illumination means that you can be sure your conversation stays private. Polycom’s bass reflex port means you hear all lower frequencies – perfect for multi-media presentations. You’ll also have local 5-way HD Voice conferencing so everyone can join in. We could go on (and on) but you get the picture!

A snazzy conference phone is all well and good but it has to be easy to use. No more wasting the first 10 minutes of your meeting with technical issues and ‘can you both hear me now?’ The intuitive 5” full colour touch screen is very familiar to anyone who has used a smartphone which must be nearly everyone by now! You can even send meeting invites via the Realpresence app then when you get to the meeting room, a simple touch on the screen calls all the listed attendees.

What makes the RealPresence Trio so unique is the low cost entry point to video conferencing and document sharing. Extended voice range -
Polycom advertise the range as 6 meters (ie 3 m each way from the phone. We’ve tested this and it coped with ease at approx 4.5m from the phone. It certainly offers a better range than the Soundstation2 models. If you need more than this, expansion microphones are available. If you just need something for a smaller room, check out this model's little brother, the RealPresence Trio 8500.
